Get Involved

We rely on support from the local authority, grant making trusts and foundations and the local community, without which we could not continue to run all the services needed by our children and their families. For every family we help there are many more on the waiting lists for day care, holiday clubs, outreach support etc.

Amazon Giving

We have two easy ways for you to support us whilst shopping online with Amazon.

Use AmazonSmile and donate to us at no extra cost to you.

All you have to do is click here, save AmazonSmile to your favourites and do your shopping as normal. Amazon will then automatically donate a percentage of the money you spend to us –  it’s that easy!

Check out our Amazon Wish List

We have also set up an Amazon Wish List full of toys and equipment we need for our center to best support children with learning disabilities. Our Amazon Wish List couldn’t be simpler to use – just browse through the items . Make sure you select KCA’s delivery address (and remember to check that you only have items from our wish list in your basket), place your order and Amazon will deliver your kind gift directly to us.

How can I get involved?

There are a number of ways you can help depending on the time you have to give. Why not arrange a fundraiser, attend an event or become a corporate volunteer!

Corporate Sponsorship:

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is when businesses get involved with the local community. This can take the form of fundraising, making a regular or one off donation, or encouraging staff to volunteer.

How can your company support KCA?
Corporate sponsorship would be an excellent opportunity for your company to get involved in your local community and make a real difference to the lives of the most vulnerable people living there.

Your team could spend some time with the children and young people we support, organise a party or a day trip, or sponsor a one of our projects such as family advice sessions, one off events, after school club sessions or our youth group. Or your company could nominate KCA as your Charity of the Year and provide on-going help and support across all of our services.

Fundraise for us:

Your fundraising helps us to achieve our mission to make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people with disabilities and their families. To do this, we need funds. Many fundraising ideas are tried and tested and bring in much-needed financial support. Yet, we are also looking for novel fundraising ideas that will raise funds and our charity’s profile.

Can you come up with an exciting new idea? Could you tweak an existing event? There’s always a great excuse to put on an entirely new event or add a twist to something.

Ready to take up the challenge? We can support you with all the promotion and any other support you may require. As a local charity we are in a unique position of being able to demonstrate the difference that your fundraising efforts make.
